Stencil imagery and epoxy molded details give each piece its shape and texture. Black light can reveal another side of the finished work.

When the world shut down during COVID in 2020, I didn’t know what else to do. I spent about a week drinking and being a little self-destructive, then quickly realized that wasn’t the answer. I turned to the creative arts.
I would stay up all night on Fridays and Saturdays painting this Louisiana state flag. It was where I first started experimenting with glow powder, and I put more than 60 hours of painting into it.
I worked the glow powder into the painting with water, without epoxy. Those layers are much thinner, so I had to go over them several times. The process takes longer, but the look and detail make it worth it. This is still my personal favorite.

A reel of several projects, including their glow under black light.
Bold, graphic forms sit against layered painted backgrounds. Figures and symbols become the focal point, while color and texture carry the rest of the story.
Molded epoxy elements add physical depth to the canvas: flowers, birds, hearts, seahorses, and other details that extend beyond the painted surface. Some pieces also change under black light.
